Psychological Testing
Psychological testing can help you better understand your needs, provide your therapist with additional insight and observations to improve your treatment, and assist in accommodation applications or legal proceedings. Testing is a distinctive competence of Resilience Village. We have worked hard to improve the quality and speed of testing as well as drive down associated costs. Unlike most therapy practices in Utah, Resilience Village is led by a PhD level psychologist and includes a former school psychologist with over 14 years of experience in testing. We are confident that we are the best provider in Utah for psychological testing in terms of quality, speed, and cost.
Psychological testing involves additional costs for testing materials, expertise, analysis/evaluation, and report writing, and consequently carry higher fees than regular 60-minute psychotherapy sessions. There are three options we have found most effective and affordable: Self-pay, hybrid self-pay and insurance, and insurance.
Self-Pay Testing
The out-of-pocket total costs for testing are as follows:

*Testing involving any legal proceedings or some types of accommodation applications carry additional fees, starting at $500 in addition to the costs listed.
Insurance & Self-pay
Insurance can also be used to cover the face-to-face sessions portion of testing, with the remainder paid out-of-pocket. This is the most common approach taken at Resilience Village and a good option for insurances that do not cover psychological testing, or to avoid the necessity of preauthorization. When using insurance to cover face-to-face sessions, and paying out-of-pocket for the remaining fees for tests, analysis, and report writing, the costs are as follows:

*This number does not account for copay/coinsurance requirements from your insurance.
**Testing involving any legal proceedings or some types of accommodation applications carry additional fees, starting at $500 in addition to the costs listed.
Insurance
If we are in-network with your insurance provider, you may opt to use insurance reimbursement for your psychological testing, with the understanding that you are responsible to pay any costs not covered by insurance, up to the amounts listed above. Please be advised that not all insurances cover psychological testing.
You can request a preauthorization from your insurance company to check if they cover psychological testing. For your convenience, the insurance codes typically included for each testing type are listed below:

Upon request, the office at Resilience Village is happy to file preauthorization requests on your behalf. Following completion of intake documentation and uploading insurance information,
contact the office at 385-230-7998.
Payment Plans & Report
To ease the financial burden of out-of-pocket expenses, we often break up invoicing into installments
(usually three), with the final payment being due before the report is delivered. Of course, you are welcome to pay the fee for services upfront if that is preferred.
Please call or text the office to share your payment preferences, including when and how you would like installments to be set up if you do not desire to pay upfront.
A full written report of test results cannot be delivered until payments are made in full. Once you have completed payment for testing, the therapist who administered your testing will reach out to you for a feedback session and to deliver the report. Once you have made the final payment you are also welcome to reach out to the office yourself to schedule that appointment.
